Ollie & Olivia got married at the beautiful Stubton Hall in Lincolnshire. A beautiful 19th Century country house, set in idyllic grounds – it’s the perfect country escape and has that blend of historic charm, with modern elegance spot on. There are no nasty patterned carpets in sight!
The day started with Olivia and her gorgeous Bridesmaids getting ready in the beautiful Bridal Suite. The girls looked amazing already in their matching dressing gowns, and had Amy Wilkinson and Alison Jenner as their Hair and Make Up dream team, doing an amazing job. Olivia’s lace dress was by Suzanne Neville, and the Bridesmaids wore blush gowns by TH&TH. Olivia wore some beautiful Jimmy Choos and had his & her personalised fragrances by Jo Malone.
The morning was so much fun, Olivia treated her Bridesmaids to some beautiful gifts, which is always part of the morning that I love to capture, and we had an hilarious moment when Olivia popped some champagne, which exploded all over the room – luckily avoiding any of the dresses!
One of my favourite locations for photos at Stubton is the beautiful staircase. The light is just beautiful, and we managed to capture some gorgeous shots of Olivia coming down the staircase with her Step Father, with her Bridemaids waiting at the bottom for her. I also took advantage of this glorious location, for some couple shots later on.
My 2nd Shooter Carrie was with Ollie during the morning, capturing him and his Groomsmen getting ready, and enjoying a drink before the ceremony in Stubton’s Chocolate Room, a beautiful room with gorgeous light, filled with art which is just perfect for the guys to hang out in pre-ceremony.
Ollie and Olivia’s Ceremony was lovely, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house and the room looked stunning with flowers by Catkin Flowers, and Harpist Xenia Horne creating such a beautiful atmosphere.
Following the ceremony, we were able to capture some group shots, just before the great British weather decided to rain on us, so guests had to quickly shoot inside with their glasses of champagne! We were able to use the Ceremony Room for the remaining photos of the Bridal Party, which was a blessing in disguise as they have become some of my favourite ever group shots! Luckily the weather improved, and we were able to take advantage of Stubton’s gorgeous grounds for Ollie and Olivia’s couple shots, before the wedding breakfast.
The wedding breakfast took place in the beautiful Orangery, which looked absolutely stunning, with tables styled by Save the Date Styling, and beautiful floral centrepieces by Catkin Flowers. The couple named their tables after their favourite Gins, and also treated guests to some personalised Gin cocktails…which went down very well!
Olivia taught herself calligraphy in the run up to the wedding, and hand wrote all of the addresses on their invites, as well as creating the beautiful place names for their tables.
After dinner and speeches, guests danced the night away to Drum n’ Brass, who were absolutely amazing – I struggle not to dance whilst taking photos when the music is that good! The night ended with some amazing fireworks and then a sparkler exit for the couple. It truly was a fantastic day.
Thank you Ollie & Olivia for having me capture your beautiful day, I absolutely loved it!
