I first met Olivia and Will on their Pre-Wedding shoot. I love it when couples have Pre-Wedding shoots with me, as I find it such a great opportunity to get to know them before their big day. I immediately noticed Olivia’s beautiful smile, and how they are just such a fun loving couple, and always laughing! It was a pleasure to meet them both, and I knew at that point that I was going to love capturing their wedding.
Olivia and Will got married at the stunning Hedsor House wedding venue in Buckinghamshire. Hedsor House has to be one of my all time favourite venues to photograph. As soon as you arrive at Hedsor, you are greeted by it’s stunning façade, it’s just such a beautiful and majestic looking building from every angle and an absolute pleasure to shoot, inside and out. I’m personally a huge fan of the amazing wallpapers inside, and often take away inspiration!
I had Ellie with me for the day as my second shooter, and we arrived a little early at Hedsor House, and used the time to have look around. We swooned over the beautiful Hedsor House gardens as well as the incredible sweet trolley that Olivia had arranged which looked mouth wateringly good. We also saw the wonderful Seventh Heaven Events as they began setting up the incredible florals for the day. Soon after we went to meet Will and Olivia. Will was getting ready in the Library along with his Best Man and Groomsmen, so I left Ellie with them to capture the morning with the boys. She worked her magic capturing Will’s shoes and accessories beautifully, before whisking the boys outside for some group photos both on the balcony, and in front of the house.
My morning was spent with Olivia, her lovely Mum and her 5 Bridesmaids, with Jade Victoria, Hair and Makeup Artist, busy making all the girls look incredible. The Bridal Suite at Hedsor House is just out of this world. A total of 3 large interconnecting rooms, with a huge bathroom make up the beautiful space. Light floods in from the huge windows, and the space and light create a really serene and calming atmosphere – perfect with so many pre-wedding jitters going on! As always I started by gathering Olivia’s beautiful stationary and accessories. I always like to take my time capturing the pretty details, and Olivia’s beautiful Charlotte Mills Shoes, Bobby Pin hair accessories, Suzanne Neville wedding dress and bouquet by Seventh Heaven Events definitely deserved my time!
Before Olivia got into her beautiful Suzanne Neville wedding dress, we managed to get some photos of her and her Bridesmaids drinking Champagne in the famous Hedsor Bridal Suite bath…oh, and then I was the one in the bath, taking photos of the girls in the shower (not turned on of course!) Clearly I’ll do anything for the perfect shot!
The ceremony itself was beautiful, and as I had Ellie as a second Shooter with me, we were able to capture some stunning shots from the mezzanine floor which is a lovely way to capture the ceremony. After the ceremony, Olivia & Will walked down the elegant Hedsor steps through a tunnel of bubbles instead of confetti which really is a fun alternative to confetti and looks fab in photos! The guests were absolutely loving soaking the couple with bubbles!
Olivia & Will had a 2 hour drinks reception on the East Lawns at Hedsor House, and guests enjoyed Champagne and Canapes as well as the Roving Artist, who worked his way amongst the guests creating silhouetted portraits for them to take away. Such a unique and fun idea! Whilst the guests were entertained, we photographed some family and friends group shots on the East Lawns, and then took the Bridal Party to the front of the house and the sunken gardens to make the most of all of the gorgeous spaces available to us at Hedsor House.
When the guests were called through to dinner, Olivia & Will had some relaxed couple portraits in the grounds, before being announced into the Wedding Breakfast. The speeches were fantastic, with tons of emotion, belly laughs and knickers being thrown about. Perfect!
Following speeches, the cake was cut and then Olivia & Will hit the dancefloor for their first dance, before the dancefloor quickly filled up and everyone partied the night away to music from The Penny Kings.
Shortly before I left, I grabbed the couple for some final portraits on the mezzanine and outside the front of the house. Both spaces look so amazing when lit up at night, so it’s always a must for me when at Hedsor to do some nightime portraits, and the shots are a lovely way to end a wedding gallery.
All in all, Olivia & Will’s wedding at Hesdor House was absolutely wonderful, I loved every minute! Here are some more photos from their beautiful day…
We can’t thank you enough for capturing our big day! All the photos tell a story and create lovely memories for us to treasure forever. We are so unbelievably happy with the photos!
